Scripture: Ephesians 6:10–18 12th -14th April 2020   It is our desire that as the Body of Christ, we take some principles from the experience of the Apostle Paul, who during his season of “confinement” was so humbly dependent on the Sovereignty of His God that he was granted the privilege of receiving “Revelation during his period of Isolation” It was from his Prison that the Apostle Paul, chained to a Roman soldier was given the “spiritual insight” from the natural of the soldier’s uniform that enabled him to write to the Believers to reveal to them, what we now refer to as the Armour of God, the spiritual uniform of the solider in Christ. Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV) 10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His 11.might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand 12.against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the 13. heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of 17. the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. We need to like Paul allow the Holy Spirit in this season of isolation to reveal to us Revelation for our Situation. To get the maximum from this time of Isolation, it requires you and I to cooperate with the process, as Paul again described in Romans 12:1 which comes from “our minds being transformed”, so that we can, like the Tribe of Issachar “understand the times and the seasons and know what we ought to do” 1 Chronicles 12:32. So, we encourage you to make the time to, instead of allowing fear and its associated forces to engulf your life, your family and your home, read and meditate on the Word of God. Enquire from the text what is the scripture saying, ask questions of the Holy Spirit, wait for answers, wait for instructions, spend time listening, offer thanksgiving in praise and worship and because “He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6), and as the scripture has declared “if you seek Him you will find Him” (Jeremiah 29:13), and when you do find Him, I can assure you, He will give you His Peace in the midst of every storm.   TO FOCUS YOU It is important in this time of Isolation that we take the opportunity to receive Revelation from the God who Was and Is and Is To Come. Stay in the WORD and in PRAYER so that we can obtain the Mind of Christ concerning whatever situation we are faced with. PRAYER POINTS Denounce the spirit of fear, deny its access to your mind, your heart, your home, your family and render it powerless by the Authority of the Word of God, apply the Blood of Jesus over everyone and everything that pertains to you and arm yourself with the Word of God. Pray for revelation, understanding, wisdom in this season, as the Holy Spirit, leads you into all Truth (John 14:13). © 2020 Ruach City Church Devotional All Rights Reserved
